Really sad set of events, but truly amazing watching people from the website help.

One final silver lining to this thread - Chicken, please reinstate OP’s friend so he can porn bomb us all again while he recouperates in the hospital.

up here and likely everywhere else, too, people from So of the border both legal and illegal will drive slower so as not to attract police attention so as to avoid probable cause and a traffic stop.

ETA that difference in color of dog in live vs deceased pics looks a little different to me color wise; the OP may want to cruise that area unless her has verified by seeing that the dead dog is for sure his dog.

so sorry for your loss. OP

Sorry for your loss, our pets are often like family. Prayers for your friend and your comfort. Really cool of Carson to go above and beyond for a fellow TDer.

Marlboro — I’m so sorry about your Brody. I know firsthand losing a pup in an accident hurts like hell, but based on the pics you posted of him, he was a very lucky guy to have you and he knew it! Those pup smiles say it all. I’m so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, sweet pup pup.

I hope both you and your friend have a swift and full recovery.

To Carson and LouisianaLady: y’all are amazing people looking out and going the extra mile for someone you don’t know. Sometimes we all need a little reminder that even though we don’t know each other, we’re all here and we’re all in this life together. Good on both of you! A true silver lining to hard story to read about.

Spoke with OP, he's recovering from a possible collarbone injury in the hospital. Going to clean the dog off and load him up in my truck so I can bring him over and they can bury him in the morning

As it did for me 7 plus years ago TD and the OB in particular people go above and beyond for a missing dog even in this case as in mine the search doesn't end the way we all had hoped. CHeers carson - well done

Well this was a depressing read this morning. OP sorry for your loss. But this again proves that despite all the other bullshite, the OT is a good place full of (mostly) good people.

ETA: Marlboro, please keep us updated on your friend's recovery as well. Hope you all are doing okay.. or as good as can be expected. Sorry again for your loss.

Carson and LL - you are good people If you're ever in Nashville, I got the first round.

Man, not the ending I was hoping for when I opened this thread. I'm praying for OP and his friend to have a good recovery, and that his pup passed peacefully. Hope the other driver is held responsible.

You need to get Gordon McKernan on this shite quick, personal injury plus pain and suffering from loosing your dog.

You will be at the mercy of the other driver's insurance if they have any unless they have some bank.

It's pretty easy to settle for 20K or so though

Sounds like you've done this once or twice. Thanks for jacking up all our insurance rates dick. Only a professional "emotional pain and suffering victim" first thoughts would go this direction after reading this thread.

... and it's *losing not loosing
