That's a good point I missed. If it wasn't a breakaway collar, might be a different dog. I wouldn't usually call that a Golden Retriever.
OP - I got into the gate at Exchange and drove through the entire complex. Saw a baby deer that I thought was the dog for a second. Went down Burbank roughly to Lakeside Daiquiris and then turned around to come back, which is where I saw Carson on that side of the road. Kept my eyes peeled down Lee, then Highland, and then in my neighborhood.
When I left my house, there was a guy somewhat frantically walking past on the phone (not unusual, but he was stressed) and also a car driving like 5mph so I wasn't sure if you were searching?
I haven't seen him, but I did post a NextDoor thing.

Delete that as soon as he calls you.
Ditto your email address. Spiders will snatch both up.

So sorry MarboroTiger. You are a victim of negligence and idiocy, but I'm glad some people offered to help you. If that was your dog, know I'm sorry as well, but I believe he ran away to die as well. I hope you receive justice and whoever did this receives the proper punishment. I was in a wreck a few months ago and have no sympathy for at-fault drivers.

Damn, I was really holding out hope that wasn't him. Man, I can't express my sorrow enough.
I hope you are okay as well, and Carson if you need any help just let me know. I have ungodly amounts of blankets and misc. things if you need help with him. I'm just down the street.

This is why TD needs a DM/PM feature.

Spoke with OP, he's recovering from a possible collarbone injury in the hospital. Going to clean the dog off and load him up in my truck so I can bring him over and they can bury him in the morning

About a decade ago Carson put out a fire in some random girl’s condo in Lake Beau Pre after a lightning strike.

Above and beyond Carson.
OP, I’m very sorry to hear about your pup.
ETA, very generous of you too LL. (And any others that took time to help OP)

Got him loaded up and am heading to the hospital. Cleaned him off as best as I could, but there are so many ants.
Did a little inspection and I’m positive that he wasn’t hit by a car. He had a lot of grass in his mouth, and we know dogs like to eat grass when they have stomach aches. Afraid he had some internal bleeding from the wreck and didn’t know what was wrong. Seems like he came down the road about half a mile and just passed away in the grass. Poor thing.

Really sad. I’ve got my poodle cuddled up in bed with me

God I hate seeing that. Sweet baby.
You are such a good person. I love animals so much that it would have been really difficult for me to do what you're doing by myself.
