If you take someone who experienced New Orleans during Katrina and start explaining an EMP to them, they’ll probably have PTSD.

That being said, 2-3% of the population are dangerously psychotic but are currently medicated and or in treatment. Just imagine if that stopped suddenly.

I listened to this book on audio on a 450 mile trip. When I got where I was going, I couldn't help but thinking "How the hell would I get back home?"

In the book, didn't the roving violent gang come out of Asheville?

That'd be something

The Posse is a scary concept. Imagine all the street racers and drug dealers forming a militia. The cops and military are the only ones with enough training and resources to oppose them.

CME’s happen about every 100 years. Check the link, a CME will happen in this generation. It will change everything. People will say, why didn’t I know this?

Funny, I finished reading it a few nights ago, great book. Certainly a scary situation, I pray it never happens.

If the Carrington Event happened right now, everyone in an non military aircraft would be dead. Everyone in a elevator would be stuck. Many of the people in surgery or on life support would die.

The violent will win out, the average person will not last more than a couple of months.

You sound like my 18 year old son. He's a realist and says this all the time.

And to the guy that said 2-3% of the population need meds to maintain sanity, we have enough bullets for them.

The cops

The good thing about this is that not all cops have the same training. If you are in a small town and the police department tried to form their own set they wouldn't be a threat.

People in the cities will be the most fricked. It would become territorial and everyone would be fighting for all the food in the stores and it would be in everyone's interest to kill as many people as possible (except their group).

For the people who live close enough to bayous and woods and fields, it would be better if everyone worked together for the long run. With everyone fishing, hunting and growing crops. Set up parameters that will be heavily guarded to make sure no one gets in and things would flourish.

If anyone within gets out of hand, tries to steal from others, etc.. They get killed.

Now you're just providing the dude who claps you with all that fancy stuff.

I love people who invest $6k-$10k in NVGs and have no idea what they're doing with them. You'll probably mount them on a $200 bump helmet you found on Amazon and secure with velcro straps
