Let me tell you about these things called belts...

LOL, you'd find a gold bar in the hood before a belt. Some lucky children had them but most had make shift belts (rope, string, etc)

I am not trying to act like I understand your upbringing, and I am not judging, but belts are a dollar at the thrift store.

I uunderstood it started in prison but the sagging of the pants was because they didn't allow belts.

Bc they are poor and as they grow they can’t always buy clothes to fit their longer legs. They’d rather their arse be out than show their shins

I was on the Westbank at a gas station and a grown man had his pants down below his arse. Besides the fact that it looks retarded it also severely hinders basic mobility

Scoot dedicated a whole show to this 25 years ago.

Also around that time Scoot was complaining about the big butt movement saying he wasn't a T or A man but a V man because at the end of the day V is all that really matters.

Never took him seriously as a V man though.

I'm guessing you got downvoted because of the second sentence. The first sentence is absolutely correct, but I don't think that non-criminals that copied this style knew why it started.

If you think the Westbank is depressing, you better not visit about 85% of Louisiana areas.

I see people with sagging pants that have belts on them all the time. They just refuse to use them correctly
