Never. I ain't putting that kind of $$$ on a depreciating asset when I can get from point A to point B on something I own outright.

hell yeh I'll take leverage at 3.5% APR any day to anyone who offers it to me for basically anything at all.

The dumbest statement that keeps getting repeated. It's a financial transaction that takes place at one point in time. It cares not about the future value of the item being purchased. The only factors that should be in play are the value of the money being used in the purchase. Not the value of the item. Quit trying to act financially responsible with that stupid logic.

Especially when you consider that the cash you have sitting around to pay for it is itself a depreciating asset. Only a difference of scale, not kind.

And this is ignoring the investment opportunity costs.
