It has appeal when the kids are young and they get excited over it.
Not so much as the kids get older and it becomes more of a chore for everyone involved.

We don’t do the Elf. My wife has a direct line to Santa. My daughter can even open the app on my wife’s phone and check to see if she’s still on the nice list.

Is it me, or has the elf thing started to die down a bit this year? I kind of agree that people are tired of it. When some idiots started doing elf treats, presents, and otherwise ramping up the daily foolishness, they really screwed up.

My wife comes up with all kinds of things for the elves. My kids are young and look forward to waking up and looking for them. I think it's great.
