Wife asked. I obliged, and had it all knocked of in time for a gumbo and Bengals game. Enjoyable day so far. Happy Nee Years baws.

Jesus wasn’t even born in December. Historically it was probably sometime in September. Christmas decorations come down a couple days after Christmas.

Then why celebrate at all in December? If it ain’t the birth of Christ, then no reason to celebrate at all.

How long does it take to remove one string of lights from a 14x60 mobile home?
If my home were that nice I wouldn't even bother taking them down.

Since I saw some artificial trees at Costco in August a few years back, I’ve elected to just leave Xmas decorations out all year and simply illuminate them at Xmas.

My brother borrowed my ladder so I'm keeping it up until Candlemas.

What about the rest of you Cajun trash?
Historically, Christmas season went through Candlemas which is February 2.

And Night 12 tomorrow night has a chance of Severe Weather.

Because the church back in the day wanted to claim the winter solstice celebration date from the pagans and make it a Christian holiday.

Uh. It’s still Christmas. Christmas doesn’t end until the Baptism of Jesus next Sunday.

I have the govees now. I’m not taking anything down. When nothing is in season or there’s not some sort of holiday close, I use them similar to recessed lighting.

I'm actually celebrating Christmas tomorrow.
My folks both had the flu on Christmas. The family decided to postpone the get-together until they had both recovered and feeling pretty good again. They're in their 70's so we didn't want to push things.
So, my shite is still up.

Um, the 12 days of Christmas actually refer to the Epiphany, January 6th. Reading would do you some good,

Um....taking Christmas lights down or leaving them up has nothing to do with faith. I read the Bible every day. You should try it.

My grass needed to be cut. Decorations went up on new years day and we did yard work yesterday.

I believe in the future, archeologists will be able to determine how many years an artificial Christmas tree was used by the number of wraps of duct tape around the box.
