Definitely the girls are space because of the flammability of the dresses. There was a terrible incident in Sherman Texas a few years ago where a little girl had a flammable Halloween costume they caught on fire due to a candle in a pumpkin. she ended up dying it was terrible.

could be the girls dresses would catch fire standing in front of a lit fireplace

but it is odd the rest of them did stand over there away from the fire or just have the girls stand in front of them
