North Alabama is extremely Baptist. Lots of very fundamentalist southern Baptist churches. Even got some of those snake handling churches in sand mountain I'm told

Alabama is such a pitiful state they don’t even trust their citizens to buy a lottery ticket. Think about that for a minute. Big government at its worst. It’s why I left 5 decades ago.

Middendorf's is terrible; I wouldn't ride out there $100 and a free meal.

You left because you can't play the lottery? You're a simple sumbitch.

Here is a fact about Alabama, all counties that border Tennessee > all other counties.

Which is ironic because Republicans are supposed to want less government. Unless of course it's something they can turn their nose up at and feel morally superior about, then they're all about controlling other people's lives

This is 100% accurate. I've live in both for a long time, was born in Louisiana, and Louisiana sucks compared to Alabama, except for political corruption.

No. I left because it was and still is a big government nanny state that thinks they know better than you do about what is good for you. I left for a state that was more business friendly and has no state income tax and doesn’t tell me what I can and can’t do.

A lot of Republicans and the vast majority of Democrats don't want smaller government. They just disagree on which areas to grow.

Hardly unique to Al Abama or to conservatives.

We are completely against doing that in the "football venue" too. You don't disgrace the temple. We save that shite for when we get back to our single wide trailers.

Alabama and Louisiana all things considered cannot be the worst states in reality. Kansas? Nebraska? The Dakotas? New Jersey? Again, all things considered.

Not bad. Very flat though. Lack of culcha is a plus.

Ditto.

Cold, but if you're the outdoors type they're hard to beat.

New Jersey?

It's called the armpit of america for a reason.
