I realize the lack of crime is a plus but for me those states hold limited appeal. I should have prefaced by saying I was thinking more personally. I don't have to worry about finding work so La isn't a problem for me. If it's going to be flat, at least it's not frozen for months and I can fish, boat, quick drive to gorgeous beaches and eat well.
