Assuming you are talking Mobile. Dauphin Street with a day on Dauphin Island is great vacation. It is a local alternative if you can't get to Charleston. NOLA is a hassle and I quit going. These three are a great trips without the BS.

The closest I ever..EVER get to New Orleans is the airport. You may as well have gone to Mexico and I'm literally 1000% serious about that. Anyone who goes into the city right now, in this day in age of no control and no order, for any reason whatsoever deserves absolutely anything that happens to them.

If you want to change New Orleans, the only way to get their attention is by starving them of your money. Until the business leaders and people with wealth who can pull strings there get involved, let that city die on the vine. It's a terrible, terrible place right now.

The beignet place is in the hotel lol

Going around puts him closer to the entrance. It’s very clear you can’t actually enter the hotel like he said

No shite dumb frick. There’s an entrance to the hotel, in the pic that I posted, that wasn’t blocked off.

Just admit you’re wrong and stay your dumb fat arse in Kenner

I’m actually going down there this afternoon to check on our condo right around the block, I’ll take some real life pics just to make you look even more dumb than you do now.

CBD and French Quarter have gotten rather shitty. I actually stumbled onto Frenchman St last night and had a nice time, though. I was out if the area before the shooting gallery opened up. I actually think things would be better if they ended the drinking curfews and bar restrictions. The staggering of the coming and going crowds that 24/7 drinking and no set last calls gives you seems to dissipate/discourage some of this stuff.

Frenchman and the bars there were jam packed at 1030.

So did you at least get a refund for a nights stay? And what did you do for all those hours waiting to get back to your room?

Next hurricane purposely break the levees on the NOLA side instead of the Chalmette side.

I don’t really. We just signed a 6 mos lease for our condo right around the block and I have to go clean out the fridge and pantry and closets. Dude wants to move in tomorrow

I always stroll around the corner to Lucy’s or the District when I’m down there.

Who takes a train to Nola?

It's actually pretty cool. You can bring an ice chest and get hammered on the trip. Get off on Loyola and Uber to hotel. No parking fees or concern about the natives boosting your vehicle.

Of course, that was before The Destroya and Covid put the final nails in NOLA's coffin. Now they've elected a Soros prosecutor so I have no intention of returning to the Crescent City. Makes me sad, as I've had some wonderful times there over the years, but not even willing to deal with the nonsense anymore.

All of Nola is a shithole because you stay in a tourist trap?
