If you know a woman who only has sons, she is the first female in her maternal line, going all the way back, through millions of generations, across species, through evolution, to not have a daughter.

Depending on the jurisdiction and surrounding circumstances none of those are felonies.

there are only 366 days in a leap year. take 367 people and there is 100% certainty that someone will share a birthday (being day of year, not day and year)

Where is this a felony? Reckless driving by speed is generally a misdemeanor.

It depends on the state and the officers discretion, they could easily charge you with some BS like reckless endangerment.

In Arizona, this is only a felony if you place someone in a substantial risk of imminent death.

wrong, so your saying there is no chance a random sample of 367 people will NOT contain at least one match..wrong

love your posts pal, but trust me here, I'm in the math field...your wrong

in fact you could take a random smaple of 1,000,000 people and you have a chance (albeit small) that no two have the same birtday, just as there is a chance all 1,000,000 have the same...
your whole use of numbers is wrong when you take a "random sample" Guess next you will tell me there is zero chance that a roulette wheel comes up red 1,000 times in a row..nope..there is a chance...

Also, with just 23 random people there is a 50/50 chance that 2 will have the same birthday.
I get the other one, but can you explain this one?

I trust you, I just want to explain it to co-workers when I blow their mind.

That's a mathematical construct. No one has "negative" anything. Again, placeholders. In the real world, counting real objects, you always start at 1 (or multiples of 1) - not 0.

That's not what I learned in that mind blowing thread yesterday.

you serious clark?

lets assume best case that you pick 366 people and each one has a different birthday (jan 1 through dec 31)

the 367th person will have to have to share a bitrhday with one of them.
