Driving in the left-hand lane does not inherently cause danger.
Failing to maintain a single lane and following too closely to get around someone driving in the left-hand lane (better known as ducking and dodging) most certainly does.

It doesn't get dangerous until the person running up from behind hits them, or someone slowing down behind them gets hit by another.
You are supposed to drive to conditions, not "the speed limit." That's why people run off the road in the rain or rear-end people in traffic.

Passing some arse camped out in the left lane is a recipe for disaster when the right lane has the slower traffic. Yield your arse over to the right lane so the faster vehicle can pass. It's not that hard.

Here's is the issue. Right lane car is going 60. Left lane car is "passing" him at 62. Cars begin to pile up in the left lane. Left lane car would pass faster, but LSP are a bunch of money hungry bastards.

I do get over. I never drive in the left lane except to pass. But there's always that a-hole that comes out of nowhere and rides my arse while I'm passing someone. But I'm not going to speed up to 20mph over the limit to get out of their way. I'll get over when I pass the guy and that other guy is just going to have to wait.
