Two dead according to WAFB
Eastbound and they hope to have it cleared by noon.
Westbound undoubtedly will be slow.

More wrecks the nicer the weather has become.

Yes. Because no matter what happened, it ALWAYS involves 18 wheelers. And no matter what, we still have shite to do.
Very sad someone has to continually die because of 18 wheelers. That right lane only law needs to be sternly enforced in that stretched from Henderson to BR

I don't think I've ever seen a big rig pulled over for abusing the right lane law. I travel that bridge almost every single day and see those 18 drivers doing stupid shite. Riding cars bumpers, darting in and out, going 15 over. It's ridiculous.
But God forbid the State Patrol sees you doing 65.
It's a damn shame someone else has lost their lives on that stretch of road.

With the construction going on between Laf. and the Basin, there are signs all over telling trucks to stay in right lane only. Of course I never see one pulled over when they fly through there going 75-80 in a 60.

I love the smell of lawuits in the morning.

Same area where my son left this earth 14 years ago.

I don't drive on there often because 190 is faster for me but I rarely see 18 wheelers doing 75-80 anywhere. I thought many were speed limited. I would say it is more likely that they were jamming up 2 lanes and a car caused the crash trying to get around them.

I drive from laffy to br every morning at 430 am. This is the second fatal 18 wheeler accident I've seen in a month or so. The last one caught fire right in front of me on the basin bridge at the Butte Larose exit. We need to rebuild our rail system so that we don't have to use trucks as much for interstate commerce.

You need to drive i12 between Hammond and BR more often.

Actually, the truck drivers union is very powerful in DC and has fought this very thing. They won’t allow significant rail funding to be passed.

I didn't realize so many of you appear too commute to BR from Lafayette. Why not just move to BR? That road is horrible for the car every single day, not to mention dangerous with all the construction.
