Airline suggested as alternate route but it's slow.
Due to rubberneckers, I'd avoid I10 for the drive west from Nola.

Bunch of traffic coming up 55 to Hammond and then heading east on 12. 12 is jam packed.

Not sure if the offramp is closed, but...

Every street within a square 5 miles of airport is a parking lot, good luck. Cops have streets shut down that dont even go to where the wrecks are. Been sitting still in the pickup line at msy for 45 minutes. Ton of freaking out people all around us.

Looks like the best option is to cross the river at I-310, or am I wrong?

Cops arent busy enough to shut down multiple streets that have nothing to do with wreck, but too busy to let people go through lights on airline in guess.

Thank God I'm picking people up, I'd be furious if I was trying to catch a flight.

Been on Bonne Carre for an hour. Still a good 3 miles from the wreck before the 310 exit.
