My Dad always loved that song.
I remember from when I was a little kid up till he passed away, he would just randomly start to softly hum and/or sing that song. Didn't have to be anything going on to trigger it, it just came out of him sometimes. Makes me feel good to think of him singing this.

My wife knows I’m completely blitzed when I turn on the Vern Gosdin gospel album.

Written by Martin Luther in the early 1500s and still being sung by Evangelicals to this day.

Standing on the Promises
I Have Decided to Follow Jesus
This is My Father's World
Great is Thy Faithfulness
It is Well
Because He Lives (written by Bill Gaither so relatively young)

Soon and Very Soon
I'm so Glad that Jesus Set Me Free
Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
In the Garden
I Love to Tell the Story
Blessed Assurance
How Great Thou Art
Crown Him with Many Crowns
A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
Praise to the Lord the Almighty
Be Thou My Vision
All Creatures of our God and King

Yes, I grew up Baptist

I was a drummer in my church(es). I have played Contemporary to Southern Gospel to Black Gospel (fun but VERY difficult). My band plays a lot of Southern Gospel (bass player now), and it's fun.

Soon and Very Soon we are going to see the king! The old women sang kang instead of king. It took so much self control to not laugh or smile.
