Do yall know the story of Bruce Blackman? Canadian man that killed his parents, two sisters, brother, and brother-in-law all in one night in 1983. Said that god told him to do it in order to save the world. The voices also told him to consume his own semen and his sisters' menstrual blood in order to become closer to god, which he did. He also begged his sisters' and brothers to join him in this.

He was found not guilty by reason of insanity, and only spent a few years inside a mental institution before being released.

He walks among us still today.

It really is. When you don't have your reality straight everything in your life can fall apart in a moment.

It's the husband of a City-Parish worker who killed their child.

Exactly. This was a test of faith and obedience for Abraham. He passed and was told not to kill his son Isaac. Check your Bible, Genesis 22. Original posts like the first cast a shadow over true Christians. Now, many Muslims believe in "Honor Killings" and many other brutal acts. Check those out. Maybe you've heard them praise Allah and kill anyone they deem infidels or denying Allah.

Maybe if more children went to church and learned to fear the Devil and Hell.

Sure, they can grow out of that belief, but in the back of their warped little minds, a vengeful God would remain a possibility and eternity in Hell might have a deterrent effect.

Heck, even the Golden Rule might have stuck with these vicious murderers.

Damn. I know Mark. He was always very nice and seemed pretty happy.

It's scary to think that someone you know could be capable of something like this.

When it takes a quick turn, I think drugs and alcohol. There might be some repressed issues there, but drug and alcohol abuse brings that shite out on the come down.

You are way off. This is where Pharaoh, who worshipped an idol and NOT the God of Abraham, was being punished by plagues for not allowing the Israelites to go free as Moses demanded. He was given every chance to do this and the torture would stop. He would not do so and was even told that every first born child would die in this last plague. This was the final punishment to Pharaoh for not letting the Israelites leave with their animals after agreeing to do so time and time again. So, Aaron and Moses told him it would happen. When the Angel of Death came through the land and killed every first born child Pharaoh finally relented, since his son was dead, to allow them to leave. But, even then he changed his mind and we know that his army was drowned in the Red Sea. Pharaoh could have stopped this at any time had he let the Israelites leave but even after 10 plagues he would not. So, I tell you all of this to remind you that Abraham had nothing to do with the plagues or the deaths of the first born or animals. It's right there in the bible in Exodus 7 through 12.
