Actually, it was Ivan. I was wrong. Isaac was a tropical storm that caused a lot of damage.

They said the same thing about sea surface temps last year…highest ever!
They’ll simply put a name on any mid Atlantic swirl on its way to Ireland. They’ll hit their prediction by God!!

Seems to me they’ve been particularly hesitant to lower their projections for named storms from the April forecast thru August. So they are really sticking it out there with 23. Of course it does seem like everything gets a name nowadays.

Keeping in mind that Klotzbach and CSU have absolutely nothing at all to do with tracking, naming, or officially reporting on any tropical system in any part of the world, including the Atlantic.

When you predict everyone to be “above average”, it loses its effect.

It’s going to be active and above average.
All time? Humans haven’t been here long enough or have enough ‘forever’ data that justify their use of extreme language in their banners and lowers (a ’we need clicks and views to stay alive’ medium now ) but actual science points to it being a spicy summer and fall.

Did they lower the windspeed for hurricanes and add that category six? Could explain a few things.
