The 12z Euro has the ULAC displaced north over TX/LA with a large ULL dominating most of the Gulf.

That'd be cool. Let's do that.

Note the rds post above, the other major model shows a much more hostile environment for a storm. So a good bit of split still on intensity.

Where are people watching the most recent models when y’all say stuff like this. Like “GFS is running and it’s not looking good.” Where is all that located

Looking at the GFS at hour 54, Fred is headed NE through the panhandle creating a weakness for sure. Will that be there by the time Grace starts her journey?

At 72 hours no, nope, it fills back in quick.

Grace is going to be the system this year that gives us high blood pressure and gives forecasters ulcers.

And so far on this run, Fred 2.0. Let's see where she finishes.

at 96 hours, the GFS sends Grace to her grave. Absolutely ridiculous so far from the previous run.

The one thing to watch, those tracks that lift north of the islands are stronger, while the weaker members are generally westward across the islands. Given what recon found, the weaker solutions are probably favored at this point.

18z GFS much weaker, recon data probably resulted in the DA cycle producing more realistic initial conditions.

Hurricane center missed this by at least 200 miles from just a day ago. They need to quit guessing.

Either DR or something else pulls a Dikembe Mutombo on Grace

What's left of Grace's energy is shunted off west over the Yucatan and into the extreme southern Gulf of Mexico. So, not a total bust of her last run, but definitely wildly different intensity solutions.

And just like that, the GFS done goofed. Sends the remaining energy into Central/South Mexico.
