never bad to get a stash of unperishable food items and water before hurricane season starts, way ahead of the game
if a storms are brewing out there you can get some canisters of gas for a generator, if things get quiet then you can just dump it into your car

Appreciate the clarification.
If you go look at StormCast forum, Storm2K, and the KHOU weather forums, it's like someone kicked over a pile of ants with that one run.
The human psyche is an interesting thing with wishcasting and the like.

I guess I should clarify by saying y’all let me know how much alcohol I’ll need. We’re typically ready — we’re about 15 miles or so from Vermilion Bay so ready is always good for us.

I’ve been on stormcast for years. They used to not be so full of women and pussies but the site has been infiltrated over the past couple years. Now all they do is wish cast over there. I’m still there though because there are real meteorologists who tell it straight and give great info if you sift through all the bullshite.

It’s been getting comically bad there the past couple years though.

Storm2K has always been like that for Florida systems, and to a lesser extent Texas. Not very much Louisiana representation there.
Stormcast definitely used to have more level-headed people posting, now it's full of wish casters and copypastas. Even Zack seems to be, and he's a very intelligent professional.
The KHOU forums are an absolute shitfest of wish casters.

I don't ever remember it being good, you just have to be good as shifting through the shite.
There are a few extremely good Mets on there and a few civilians who really know their stuff but there are a couple who are always just looking to disagree with the NHC and yes...the FL/TX wish casting is tough.v

I generally enjoy their forums, but there are a lot of posters there who have never seen a storm that’s not on the cusp of rapid intensification. It’s almost become a running joke, it seems.

Last season broke a lot of people on the internet.

Grace doesn’t get her own thread?

This is true I think. How funny is it that the TD OT has more reasonable weather threads than sites dedicated to it?
And yeah I get that this thread has some crazy arse posts in it, but most are clear sarcasm.

The sat loop of Grace this morning is interesting, with convection racing westward to catch up with western convection. NHC was kind of splitting the difference with there advisory location. It results in an impressive looking sat image but I'm not sure that sequence of events would be good for any surface circulation that was out there. It will interesting to see what recon finds this morning.
Sharp wave axis?

Looks like it to me vs a closed circulation

Grace approaching Guadeloupe a little north of where Fred tracked

Never like seeing that NW towards the Bahamas and then turning back West type track cluster showing up in the ensembles.
