NHC doesn't have anything of interest on the board and probably won't for another 5-7 days. However, there have been some signs since early September that the Gulf and WCAB will get active at some point here in October. First, the EPAC will fire off some storms, and then we watch closer to home. Hope for frequent and plentiful cold fronts from here on out to keep Texas and Louisiana storm free.

I remember Juan in the 80’s. The damn thing kept coming back to Terrebonne Parish. We even fished in between the same storm hitting us twice. Last week of October.

A local guy in Houston was talking about something maybe curving towards this area soon but said it was too far out to really talk about it. Any idea what this may be?

Rainfall forecast dependent on how far north the low gets. There will be a fine line between the winners and losers

12z models are trending toward low moving closer to shore!

hopefully it sticks. 2-4 " of rain would be great. we haven't got significant rain in like a month

That would lead to major flooding, no? Depending on how fast it falls
