That would lead to major flooding, no?
Maybe some street flooding but no significant flooding of homes. Ground will soak that shite up fast

Been a few months since our last significant rain.
Interesting set-up in the Western & Northern Gulf mid week
Last Summer was complaining it rained too much after the mud turned green.

My ant population just started recovering. It might be time to add some insecticide since it needs to be watered in.

watch NHC give this thing TD status just because it has potential to bring rain to populated areas

Might already be there based on high res sat. You can definitely see the circulation.

I really hope it drifts more north than current models before turning east. The south end of the state could use that 5” or rain

What’s the deal? We gonna get some tropic action or what?

do you think this will cause any storm surge/flooding in coastal LA/MS? If so, enough to go move boats or just a few feet higher tide than usual?

About how many inches of rain would we need over a certain period of time for it to be considered a drought buster, or at least lift the damn fire ban? Fire pit season is upon us and I want to have some relaxing Friday/Saturday night fires.

NOAA Tides hasn't forecast it that far out yet but it's early.
Northern GoM Ops Forecast System
Luckily I've got my boat at home doing maintenance. Water was high out of Shell Beach later last week, persistent easterly winds.

I’m getting coastal flood warnings from Weatherbug. 1-3 ft. rise south Livingston.
