Well they are naming storms now that they probably wouldn’t 20 years ago. I think it’s for ratings and insurance stuff though.

For anyone wondering, NAM is pushing the higher rainfall totals East into Southern Arkansas with ~9" being the max through Tuesday afternoon.
HRRR looks to favor the higher totals farther West into TX, but it is still not very far into its window.
