Yep literally the spaghetti models are honed in from Terrebonne to Gulfport, with one outlier around Gulf Shores.

I will continue to rely on the talisman that is my Kohler whole house generator. It has kept LA clear of severe tropical systems and ice storms since I installed it 2+ years ago.

Here is the link to the Google DeepMind weather site. It's cyclone prediction model has it much more east. I believe these models were some of if not the most accurate during last year's hurricane season.

I'm not sure this ever really matters. One can be more accurate one hurricane, and another next. I don't think betting on the same one being most accurate twice in a row is a good bet. There's just so many variables.

So, for the baws that are wishcrafting for rain north of I-10 in the drought areas of Louisiana, will be disappointed.

They dusty dry.

The thing is there’s not one model that’s more reliable than the others. They all have been right over the years at one point. Then they’ve all been wrong alot of times. But when you have a model like the Google model 150 miles east of the spaghetti models it needs to be disregarded as an outlier.

I understand but over an entire season it was the most accurate not just one hurricane.

Deepmind is very similar to the HMNI though. It's not like it's in a world of its own.

Darker colors of red and yellow mean shear which shreds storms apart. The blue is less to no shear which would help strengthen a system

So those models mostly show an environment for the storm getting shredded apart?

I guess. But notice they haven't posted this mornings updated GEFS and EPS which shifted west and have FL landfalls as outliers
That makes sense.

I’m sure they have created a ton of engagements ignoring those.

This comment isn't so much about weather models, but models in general. When one particular model seems to become more accurate than others, it is typically because that model picks up on a certain variable, trait, or how events are weighed more than the others. If contemporary conditions are in line with that emphasis, that particular model will do a better job. For instance, models that weigh past trends heavier relative to independent variables are less likely to pick up new disturbances or events capable of shifting predictions.
