VDM before posting that number

I have the freedom to be wrong.

The VDMs have been 2-3 mb higher typically this year. Hopefully that's the case.

What y'all are saying is that it's bad that it's already that low before developing an eye and reaching the warm arse girl water.

We're a bit skeptical of that pressure, but if it's right, or even close, that's a problem.

Same here.

Here's to hoping Nate stays to the east.

Lord, extrapolated pressure is down to 983.

If that holds true, a 10mb drop in a couple of hours is concerning

Ok seriously. I’m standing in my driveway about to leave for Gulf Shores.

If it’s cat 1 or above they will mandatory evac the island. That sounds low to me, but just what I heard. Current track has us getting TS winds and rain for a while then it moves on. If it’s gonna jog east of current track and be a cat 2 due to this RIP I’m seeing I might as well stay home.

What’s your thoughts?

The 991 I'm seeing now is a bit more believable.

Idk man, I'm no expert, but I'd wait and see before you leave.

That being said, the most likely scenario for Gulf Shores is nothing more than TS force winds, according to the latest from the NHC.

I been getting automated calls, everyone is panicking on this board, all of the waters are gone from the stores. Gas pump lines are wrapped around the block...

From all accounts it seems to be Katrina level devastation.

I don't think you would sleep well Saturday night and will likely just be staring at updates all day tomorrow. Cat 1 is no joke if it's a direct hit.

Also, it may be hell getting out of you have to.

Good luck

What should I expect in mandeville?

I'm thinking since its looking more like a Biloxi/mobile landfall and will likely be a lopsided storm we won't see much, is that fair?

We are under a hurricane warning...

I'm standing in my driveway in Gulf Shores. I sure hope it goes West. I'm closing my restaurant at Noon tomm. Won't reopen until we see what's happens. We have a terrible power grid here so expect lots of power outages.
