Gotta be careful the 24 hour intervals makes it looks like it continues northwest into that area but i am betting it's like the GFS moves into plaquemines parish then goes NE.

For the weather geeks, check out this cell that blew up between the Yucatan and Cuba on the GOES-16 5-min scans. You see it build and then, poof, it's huge.

Does forward speed hinder developement at all? Aside from getting it to land faster?

Yeah rds may have the 3 hour time stamps to help smooth it out, but regardless, it's slightly east of the previous 12z run at 24 hours too.

12z euro is the icing on the "NHC jumped the gun" cake.

Typically it's not a big impact on a more mature storm but I think it will have a negative impact on development for Nate.

Nate isn't super organized yet and has a pretty small circulation. The big push he is getting enhances winds on the east side and increases the moisture pull up process. The opposite is true on the west side, leaving an asymmetrical pull up of energy around the core and limiting good symmetric organization needed to really get much stronger than a minimal hurricane.

Yup. Not sure what's up with that. Our phones blew up with hurricane warning right when the 12z euro started its output. Not sure if that's related

That's no cell. That's a mushroom cloud from Kim Jong Un testing the nuke in a hurricane theory. That's as accurate as NK can be tho.
