A little callback to Levi's video.
Convection dying out in the EPac at just the right time for Nate. That outflow was driving that higher than expected shear today and is easing off Nate quickly as he starts to make the move off the coast.

Long story short, east side of Nate will suck.
I don't think it is so much that the east side will suck so much that it will just be lopsided. If it hits as a TS it will still only be TS winds on the east side. That's nothing major. This will be moving so fast that flooding will hardly be an issue, even on the "wet side."

Isaac flooded some homes pretty good in La Place with storm surge off the southwest side of the lake. Grande Isle will have water across the road. These things can push some water even as tropical storms. But with the way it's going to be rolling through fast it won't push as much as it could.

You stupid shite, you told a meteorologist there was no need to make this thread...a week later Louisiana has a hurricane barreling towards it. Stay away from these threads.

a buddy of mine who knows weather just texted me
"the 18Z runs say Nate will be MUCH stronger than
the current forecast.
HMON, which has been historically low in intensity, is now saying edge of Cat 3. HWRF agrees."
is this right?

shite that means it's coming to Louisiana. Cantore tries to get close so he can act like a badass in 50 mph winds but not close enough to where it'll really frick him up.

Too early to tell intensity.

HMON and HWRF are ridiculous for intensity forecasts. Could they end up being right? Sure? Is it likely? No!

Dat is true, no blue shed for him
Posted on 10/5/17 at 8:55 pm to slackster
I feel like the HMON has taken on a personality.

My parents think he's precious. They're probably inviting him to dinner while he's down.

BTW went to Costco this afternoon and it was a shite show, Their Costco water was out, regular sized bottles. I am sure they will get more.
They were not low on anything else though. Stocked up on some dry goods, water, etc. Did score a nice bottle of bourbon I normally don’t see there.

I'm just a very casual observer and don't know weather at all. I do watch these threads no matter where they are going and pay pretty close attention, though, because I'm fascinated by them. So saying that, let me offer this up...
Whew...plan on a TS.
Your buddy doesn't really know weather.
