When are we getting the cold front that's supposed to yank this towards Florida? It's hot as heck outside here in St George.

Has one of these storms ever tightened up and turned into a tornado? It seems like this one is trying.

Milton is starting to rival some of the WPac typhoons with its presentation.

Wilma, at peak, was essentially a six mile wide tornado.

Change my mind.

No, but if the shark population is large enough the sharknado can appear

Then, later tonight it explicitly forecasts an eyewall replacement cycle, then even more intensification tomorrow as #Milton passes over the loop current, threatening Hurricane #Wilma's all-time low pressure record in the Atlantic (882mb) in the process.

Some records shouldn't be broken.

Im down at 4700 in Utah.

But please, do tell how the eyewall and center of Wilma was functionally different than a really honkin' big tornado.

I'll wait

I've seen several instances where a hurricane turned into several sharknados.

The recon from this morning is about the most incredible shite ive ever seen.

36mb fall in less than 6 hours.

64mb fall in 12 hours. Wilma was 83mb in 12 hours which is fricking insane.

I havn't followed this storm as closely as I do most but from what I've seen I'm very impressed with the cone guys. None of this wishy washy move it around nonsense. They are sticking to their guns like they used to do in the 70s-80s.
