Will be riding this out in Orlando. No flood risk by me and stocked up.

From what I'm hearding the roads going North are already a parking lot. Disney will have food, water and security. I'd stay if I were him. It won't be perfect but certainly safer than being stuck on the road.
If you had a week left, sure, but he’s checking out Friday morning. That makes things a little more interesting.
For everyone saying to get out pronto, save that message for the people on the actual coast. That can be life or death.
Staying in Orlando is more about how and what type of inconvenience you’d like to endure.

I imagine most of the transplants are leaving town.
The born and bred floridians will stay in big numbers, and some of them will die because of it.
Until you've been in the bowels of a major hurricane you can't really comprehend the mental torture that takes place. The survivors will all say the same thing, "next time I'm leaving"

So that guy brought up something I’ve always wondered…
if the recon planes are picking up winds in the sky of 100 mph, what are the wind speeds going to be for ground level? More? Less? The same?
I realize that’s probably an ignorant question, so sorry

I think they’re turning our water off at 8pm tomorrow, so that might suck.
Your place, or the city? Where are you seeing this?

They drop instruments out of the plane that take readings and radio the data back to the airplane.

Anyone think the baws of Pasco County should again try shooting the hurricane on approach?

Don't you love it when a plan comes together

We're already experiencing it and it's 600 miles away.

Orlando airport should be open Friday or Saturday right? I mean it’ll be a cat 1 or 2 through Orlando. I don’t get the “get out now” crowd. It’s easy to say in theory but there are no flights and most people at Disney don’t have a rental car, and besides that roads will be a nightmare and most hotels booked.

I don't know, now. I was using accuweather's but they are running 6'ish hours behind. They het theirs from NOAA, but are not keeping up. Somebody posts one here every few minutes.

Tampa Bay will be changed forever if this verifies. The amount of homes and businesses in that area are staggering.
