We are at Disney until Friday. Just hoping roads are open then and we can get north of here without too many issues.

Get out. Now.

The wife and kids are there now with my MIL and a family friend and her son. They’re supposed to leave Wednesday morning headed back. Right now it’s looking like it’s not making landfall till Wednesday night sometime but idk whether to tell her or just head on back Tuesday evening, leave Wednesday morning early as planned, or try to stay another day or so and ride it out. She did go on fill up her minivan yesterday morning though so that it’s ready to roll regardless. So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.

If driving, they should leave early. Not for the weather, but for the fact that I75 is going to be a complete shitshow of people going north.

From what I'm hearding the roads going North are already a parking lot. Disney will have food, water and security. I'd stay if I were him. It won't be perfect but certainly safer than being stuck on the road.

Are you asking age, or her body count?

Normally these types of models are overdone but these models called this the rapid intensification the last couple days. This could be heading to sub 900mb soon

The HAFS-B model has been really high on Milton's peak intensity. But every model has been way underestimating the actual intensity.

NWS Tampa Bay afternoon forecast discussion. Very strong wording, especially the last paragraph.

Where do you find the latest track? There's a lot of different models out there.

Interesting fact in that article. The template for the warning he sent out in Katrina was designed by the Tampa NWS office. I wonder if they'll use the same template here

Whoof. Good luck, man. Hopefully a best case scenario plays out.
