They setup cots for the storm for Tropicana Field. Not the best idea with a fabric roof

Man it’s ok to just say “brain fart, my bad” instead of doubling and tripling down on the dumbest shite

Looks like Florida, and mainly TB, dodged a major bullet. That southerly entrance spared TB from the storm surge.

You could argue the entire gulf coast dodged it as a major hit would have been terrible for everyone’s insurance. Hopefully this will just be regular jab we can take and move on.

3.28 million power outages in Florida. Close to 30 percent of the total that is tracked.

I don't know why but I like you. Your good in my book.

But getting back to hurricane talk, I'm not sure how this was a missed bullet for insurance purposes. I guess from a bankruptcy stand point it certainly is. But insurance co's see how close this came to being a disaster. I can't imagine this makes them anymore comfortable with insuring on coastal areas. More like: "we got lucky, now lets gtfo out."

I'm sure there is wayyy more to it than what I'm picturing though.

I’m gonna go check out the area in just a few minutes if it’s not gonna bother any first responder types. I’ll turn around if it looks like I need to.

I just talked to my sister. Said the eye went north of there and wasn't too bad at her place in Melbourne.

It looks pretty good around town. The tornado definitely caused some damage though. It’s the one right down the street from Coconuts(and my parent’s house where we evacuated to lol).
