Just his typical fly by libtard post
There are 73956268+ posts in this thread, which probably makes it the longest in TD history, and he picked out one tiny sentence about Ron DeSantis and tried to dispute it
You know, the typical lib shite

Does he have a 2nd floor? If not he should put an axe in the attic just in case.

Hopefully this is his final peak. Damn, he looks impressive right now.

I have family with twin 4 year old girls at Disney World Orlando this week. Can’t get a plane ride out and there are no rental cars available. Apparently they are stuck, going to have to ride it out. I wanted to see opinions on how bad it’s going to be in Orlando.

what about Hurricane Betsy?
Your contention is 1965 Betsy was on the lower end of 96-110 mph when hitting New Orleans and Metairie?
If so, I believe you’re mistaken.
The map you use shows wind velocity as highest gusts. Presumably you are deducting a factor of 20% to establish a sustained wind velocity. This is where your map has misinformed you, I believe.
The 125 mph “gust” shown for New Orleans on your map is most likely the last reading of the Weather Service anemometer at 10:46 pm when it failed due to loss of power. At 10:20 pm, 26 minutes earlier, sustained winds had exceeded 100 mph indicating sustained winds had continued to rise significantly until the instrument failed with loss of power. It is likely sustained winds continued to rise exceeding 125 mph. I can at least make the case that 125 mph wasn’t a gust, but a sustained Cat 3 wind in the Crescent City not weak Cat 2.
Page 19 in The Army Corps of Engineers Final Report on Hurricane Betsy will support my contention.
Many of the “highest gust” numbers on your map may also reflect peak winds at time of instrument failure. That may be among the reasons Betsy was recategorized up from a Cat 3 to a Cat 4.
It’s interesting to note the 92 mph gust shown in Baton Rouge is in slightly lower than the Corp of Engineers report. On page 19 they estimate the highest winds are 100 mph. There is in archives somewhere that I have not been able to find on short time a report corroborating the COE’s report submitted by the Baton Rouge Weather Service office that winds continued to rise reaching 100 mph until their anemometer failed at sometime between midnight and 1:00 am. I can’t remember the time exactly.
None of this is helpful for the folks in Florida though. I hope others will join and pray fervently God restrains this immoderate weather and protects the souls of all in Milton’s path.
