That’s a bold strategy that will not work out in your favor. Flee now and then you’re one less person that’ll have to be rescued.

That's like all these people at Disney, nobody gives a shite about your vacation.

But since you want to stay they have to be at work.

Wtf?

Right. Which kind of negates the “safeguards” (hurricane glass and a new build) that you are hoping will protect you.

This shite is going to be biblical.

Are you in danger of surge or flooding?

K

Then you should’ve evacuated. As I’m sure you’ve been told several times.

Key West. Will still be wet, but far enough away from the wind and destruction. Lots of rum that will help you forget why you are there.

I am far enough inland that surge is no worry. I am on high enough ground that flooding is not happening. I had 6 giant pines in reach of my house. They no longer exist. Johnny Beebe and his brother and crew took them out.

Many of you know Johnny and the gang. They come to LA after every 'cane and work from can until can't. They also earn every nickel.

That’s actually exactly right.

At this point you waited too long to go north because even if you hugged the coast you’d be driving into a hurricane zone from Helene.

The only play now is to head SE to Miami / West Palm.

Being east of I-75 protects us (Zone B - Zone A is west of us, just across the interstate).

It’s 2 hours to Miami where you won’t have any potential surge to deal with.

And we chose not to. My place of business has not announced it is actually closed tomorrow. I do not fear for myself, but I do fear for some around me. Big difference.

I have a buddy with family making plans already to be able to axe their way out of the attic. They claim can’t leave because traffic is too bad. Some people just have a death wish. Even the professional storm chasers won’t be near that area. Well… maybe Reed lol

I mean, what a garbage employer if you can't go to them and tell them you need to evacuate.

What? Why would that prevent you from evacuating?
