Upper level jet nearby can help a hurricane breathe and strengthen.
The dry air riding up on its west and overall shear profile will put a limit on how strong it can get.

The Annual National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores was officially cancelled a couple of hours ago. That sucks for that area, as they’ll lose a lot of revenue.
