“Jet enhancement” refers to the jet stream being far enough away from the center actually allows the storm to “breathe” easier and faster. If a hurricane is a thermal physics engine of rising air and cooling air in a system, the jet being where it is helps funnel out the outflow faster, allowing it to intensify quicker. I think that’s why some of these storms like Milton that formed off stalled frontal boundaries are able to explode and rapidly intensify. Isaias can for a short time rapidly intensify before its northward trajectory will bring into the sheared environment that will ultimately help tear it apart, with the dry air inflow also disrupting the tropical core and will likely take on the comma-shaped system look.

Most recent dropsonde in eye has pressure down to 997mb at sea level. Not quite the extrapolated 992mb but suggests we are seeing Isaias begin its intensification, tho not rapidly so.
