There's gas on 301 in Waldo, FL north of Gainesville. And at i10 and 301 west of Jacksonville.
No lines at any station.
Florida officials have done the best job they can do supplying gas even this late in the evacuations.

Where at? My wife has a friend in lehigh acres staying put.

Thanks slack thats the map I was looking at.
Also people have to consider the sustained wind potential.
Everyone jokes about Blue fricking Shed, but you are going to need one.

Are there any google earth type interactive weather maps?? Sorry, probably a stupid question, but I don't post here much
This is a legit radar map, but useless until Irma gets closer to FL

Looks like it's riding up on Cuba, might weaken her a bit
ABC 7 (Fort Myers) weatherman is saying that it will be a 5 right after Cuba.
He also told Liz to re-measure the tree, whatever that means.

Still skirting the relatively flatter upper coast?

I'd have stayed in St. Pete most likely if I wasn't in such a flood-prone area.
Lakeland is going to get slammed.
Will a few neighbors be around, you'll be in a neighborhood?

It's just Hilton Head Island and several other barrier islands.

I just found out a really good family friend is staying put in Lutz, which is just outside of Tampa. I just assumed they had left.

Are tracks ever adjusted in these intermediate advisories?
Posted on 9/8/17 at 7:30 pm to slackster
Yea I wish that radar had more coverage. It's the best.

Where is this?
Looks like everything outside of I-75 south of Ft. Meyers will be under water
Near intersection of Winkler Ave and 6 mile cypress Pkwy
Posted on 9/8/17 at 7:31 pm to slackster
Slack is Irma's outflow / outer bands already going into FL? Looks like it from that radar you linked.

Did it jump up 12 mph? I thought it was at 155

Yes. It was just on the news a few hours ago. Weston Hotel on Kennedy.

Latest recon says it did. The Hurricane Center wouldn't have had this in before the recent advisory.

I'm in western panhandle and I haven't made plans or purchased materials to board up windows or anything because the experts here insist the panhandle is safe and ridicules anyone that questions the models. If this sumbich hits west of Destin my shite list will be long and wide.
where at in the western panhandle, because shits gone crazy around here?! Not only are we as full as peak season, theres an insane amount of traffic still coming into town trying to find somewhere to land. I'm willing to bet a lot of these people that have been on the road all day haven't seen the latest updates, cause things could easily get shitty around here too.
I did a little extra prep as far as exterior of the house, got all my important stuff upstairs and put the legs of my couches and chairs in/on top of 5 gallon buckets. Heading out at about midnight to go stay with my folks in AR and maybe catch the game tomorrow against TCU. I know it's probably overkill but I'd rather be up there and comfortable than down here in a flood of evacuees looking for food or without power.
