Just because they shift slightly doesnt make them wrong. They are reading the variables as they come and the closer it gets, the better they read. No model has put it in bama except for the crappy canadian one. Its not been reliable in the past.

I recognize the east coast becomes potentially more vulnerable, but a jog to the north now is the only chance for it to go fishing.

Yea for the most part they have been correct up to 3 days out. Any farther out is going to have a standard deviation

They're not good after 5 days, but they've been pretty damn solid in the 120 hour window.

They're surely more relevant than Billy Joe's gut feeling.

I heard they are at least incredibly apologetic when their models are wrong, if that helps.

I imagine those ancient cultures were probably pretty decent at predicting hurricanes. During the tsunami that hit Indonesia, there were isolated tribes that scientists expected to be wiped out but they used indicators of a tsunami that had been passed down for centuries and sought high ground. They were relatively unscathed.

I'd imagine they were pretty adapted to it somehow

I can remember staying for a few small hurricanes and TSs, and no matter how big or how small the storm was, there was always an eerie feeling in the air that's hard to explain. You can just sense something doesn't feel right

I'll need to see the models from Billy Joe's gut before I commit to that.

IDK man that new map looks like ~55% of the 5 day cone is to the west of central florida....

I am not buying this "huge vertical swing to the west" until this bitch is dead and gone in Greenland

I'd think the pressure changes would alert wildlife or something along those lines.

Camille maxed out at 190 MPH but probably reached 200 MPH. We'll never know, however, because the wind gauges were blown away during peak intensity as it came ashore.

When I opened it, it updated to "666 Watching Now". Had to close that shite ASAP.

Not today, Satan. Nice try.
