The next 3-5 days are going to be interesting but I'm with you fish. Hopefully those fronts coming through will keep it east and on a northward turn which sucks for Florida.

Is the speed holding steady or picking up? My concern is that if it goes faster, it may go further west before taking that upshoot.

Looks like it could suck for us in Hilton Head too. Things are still being cleaned up from Matthew a year ago, and that was a Cat 1. I don't want to see what a bigger storm would do here

I live in downtown St. Pete. Parents live in Cocoa Beach. Last hurricane they stayed with me and it worked out great. I might be headed out that way this time.

If there was a category five headed straight up to got to New Orleans… I would literally get a U-Haul pack all of my possessions and leave and expect to never return.

And I'm being completely serious.

Yeah, when Nola City officials (lol) are saying there could be mandatory evacuations here for a Cat 1...scary shite.

And it really shines a bright light on how, with millions and millions of money spent on our drainage system after Katrina, how Mitch has royally fricked us.

Well that wouldn't make much sense. If it got here faster, the front would have a greater chance of still being here.

My fat thumb accidentally downvoted but I truly think this would be my plan.

That trip to 30A next week isn't looking great right now.

Latest NHC also has this thing passing through the Florida straits. Come on steering currents.

These tracks do not look good for the Tampa bay area. Too far away for me to be in panic/crisis mode.

If it stays on the exact same track as the forecast, it would be OK there. Winds in the 60's. I have been there when two different tropical storms went through. No big deal there.

But if it moves a tad south, its going to get the big winds.

St Martin on the other had is in the crosshairs.

Yeah...

I'd buy a Cat 5 here.
