Can't imagine it'll be out nearly as long as New Orleans will. Most of the people I know that are in BR are without power. A friend in Denham Springs has power. I've heard of flooding around LSU. My best friend's sister is stuck at Northgate close to Aster St.

Anybody have reports on Thibodaux and Kraemer/Chackbay area? My mom and my step grandparents stayed (smdh), and I haven't heard from them. Last I heard my grandparents carport flew away and they were receiving water in their home, to what extent, I am unsure of.

My dad lives in chackbay toward Kramer, I cant get in direct contact either, but heard through the grape vine they are fine but have roof damage. I did see some snap chats of some people in Bayou Beouf having a few feet of water in the road. not sure how far up the road the water went.

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards warns Hurricane Ida death toll will 'go up considerably' with door-to-door searches now underway as 1 million remain without power and families are trapped in alligator-infested waters

Daily Mail is ridiculous with their sensationalism

But they'll probably have the best and most photos of any other media outlet for a while. They always do.

Anyone near St Rose area , need a wellness check on my elderly mother who decided to stay at last minute ?

Last spoke to her at 845pm, her ceiling had crashed down and she was in small bathroom riding it out.

you know they had to throw in the alligator infested waters part. Because that is what everyone thinks of first in Louisiana in fear. Alligators.

They won't report most will eat the gators.

Can’t get out of park. Lost one of my dogs I think. If she ran to the back I can’t get to her. This is horrible.
