Kinda surprised that none of the ensembles are doing anything much with the next few waves rolling off Africa.

The ICON 06z has it developing a little further south of PR and Hispaniola. Seems its still leaning offshore up the east coast but a bit closer to the Florida east coast.

I mean, they were pumping this season up like we were going to have 32 named storms, with 20 of em being major. It's been tame considering it's August and just had our 3rd system

Easy pal. Media always does this so you shouldn’t be surprised by that.

It’s still early. Lot can happen. ‘04 here in central FL we had 3 come within a month span from mid August to sept.

2020 we had Zeta in October. Laura, Delta, Sally, Zeta. Never ever want to repeat that season in my life. I went back and forth from Louisiana to Alabama.

Edited. I’m still dreaming of that season. Was replacing the roof on my parents house as Zeta was forming and saying F*ck!!!!

I know the joke is Dominican but I know some people there right now. Think they should fly out early?

The most important thing you can do to protect your family and your community during this lull in gulf activity is get vaccinated.

Late October at that. I believe it was almost Halloween.

Zeta was the only hurricane that I actually somewhat enjoyed. Right after it came through we got a cool front and having the windows open because of no power felt really good. Complete opposite of how it normally goes with sweating our asses off while cleaning up, etc.

Not to mention its speed. Storm only lasted a few hours.

Posthumously upgraded to Cat 3.

Sure didn't seem that bad and I got a direct hit.

The most important purchase you can make for Hurricane preparation is masks

Probably upgraded, after the fact, to fit their predictions for the season.
