If you want to see an example of their wealth, go to Google maps and look at the earth view, 360 degree shot from the light house at the northern tip of Elbow Cay. All you see is money.

I make it out to Marsh harbor for fishing several times a year. While there is plenty of money there, the people who support the industry which brings the money, are not wealthy. They are not nearly as poor as many may perceive them to to be, but they are far from having the means to pack up the family and evacuate for several days or more. Most have vehicles and own or rent sturdy homes, unfortunately they are all in low areas so flooding is a guarantee.

He made it, just an insane experience for him.

He hasn't updated his twitter. Is he updating somewhere else? He seems like a decent guy, just a little cray in his vocation choice.

That’s one of the most well-defined eyes I’ve ever seen. (Not that I’m an expert)

Pretty awesome to watch the tight spin unravel and start to wobble as the weakening started.

There was another area south of where we live in Abbeville that was wiped out after a hurricane in this area. Just can’t remember the name of it. South of Esther and Henry from what I remember reading.

ETA this was the same hurricane but the town was wiped out from inland flooding from the hurricane.

This guy is an a-hole. In almost every post he has made in this thread, he has called somebody names and played the contrarian.

I pointed out an area with a lot of money in the Bahamas and he called me a name and made a blanket statement that none of them could possibly be Bahamian. There is no way for him to know that, making him a contrarian douchebag that Is just here to be bellicose and obtuse.

This is the Bahama's you dumb fricke. It's a different level of poor.

These are not the fat, uglies, with huge flat screens as we see in the states.

You are stupid.

Lots of stupidity in this thread . Quick question , is there any concern with the weakening that this could cause a delay in the turn north ?

Wow that’s an incredible gif. Just amazing to watch such a monster storm sit there and just wreck shite and maintain such force and power.

It’s really a beast that just refuses to move or weaken.

Keep an eye on the top right corner of this radar loop. It never significantly moves for over 6 hours...

Yes. Absolutely. Nothing is certain at this point.
