So essentially an F4 tornado. I can't even fathom.

It's a college message board filled with very dramatic posters. Each little perceived wobble is going to spell doom and gloom and be sensationalized to no end.
Well, at least one of us posters knows people that went to be on the night of August 23, 1992 thinking Hurricane Andrew was going to make landfall near Jupiter, FL only to watch that storm tear the trusses of their house 120 miles
South in Homestead, FL the next morning .

One that lasts a lot longer than 30 seconds or a minute.

Yep, lived in Jupiter during Andrew. Also in WPB, Boca and Ft. Pierce during my years in So. FL. I would not be happy seeing this thing getting "thisclose", even if it is going to turn.

My dad lives in Jupiter Farms now. Lots of tall pine trees with no root ball. I saw a pine tree slice a roof system in half in Tallahassee after Hurricane Hermine and that was barely a hurricane with 80 MPH being the highest recorded sustained winds.

Sounds like Duke Energy is now predicting a Florida landfall. Yikes.
Sigh.

Poor people. They didn’t really even have much in the way of evacuation options.

I got an email to that effect yesterday. I think they are just covering the bases. But I am still not 100% convinced of them to North --- yet!

Typo ---- not convinced of "turn" to North...

Pine Trees = World’s most dangerous tree.
At 180 MPH, there will be nothing left of those pine trees. You will probably find needles and pine cones from other trees 100 miles away.
