If it makes you feel any better NHC has downgraded their projections since yesterday. They had it stronger by the time it even approached Florida.

I hope this storm dies a grisly death. We ain’t got time for this.

Is it time to start hyperventilating and being overly dramatic about where this is going to land?

Or am I too late?

Sure if you want to. 99% of the people in this thread and the experts won’t do that though

If it shoots that gap between Hispaniola and Puerto Rico it’s not going to lose much steam.

When it starts to approach closer to Florida you'll get a better reading on it.

And when it gets closer to Florida everyone will say we’ll know more when it gets into the central gulf. And so on.

I am thinking it is going to hit some islands in the Caribbean. Could be wrong though.

It isn't going to have much steam to lose though. Recon this morning has shown pressures rising, but it might be trying to make a new center a little to the north looking at radar.

I doubt it'll be very organized by the time it runs toward the islands. It might stay alive if it shoots the gap but still expect a mess on the other side.

The first big scenario for the storm is if it hits Hispaniola or not. That's what you need to watch.

whatever weather we get here in Orlando will be this Saturday night/Sunday. The week of the 8th should be fine unless of course we are hit really really hard (unexpectedly) and you have power/transportation/debris issues to deal with. But frankly even if that's the case Disney is such a well oiled machine they will have the place up and running the next day. All power is underground and they generate their own anyway, so if you are staying on site that wouldn't be a problem regardless.

Guess the upper low brigade played nice. Nice tight little system there.

So rds dc: what are you seeing as the 'big change' here on the GFS model? path or intensity?
