Could be stronger that wasn't the NE quadrant.

With a 946...(probably 950 or so bc those extraps are typically 3ish mb low).
Winds are still catching up.

Pressure is sub 950. Ouch
Damn Slack. If that holds we will be at least 130 mph by bed time. I don't know about you mother scrunchies, but I am wound up and probably going to stay up late.

Have to wait on the VDM but that seems reasonable.
Yeah 950ish leaves room for their usual adjustments.

This is super nerdy, but I enjoy Levi's videos when a storm is bombing out.
Also, given we know significant weakening is unlikely, you'd rather see Dorian blow up now and try to sustain it for 72 hours (highly unlikely) than a Michael situation.

That 946 reading had winds of like 30 kts so it might be even lower the next pass.

On the other hand EWRC's happen and then the wind field expands.

I like that one, but its zoom has its limits. Once a storm gets closer to landfall - This is the one to use:

True. Also builds up more surge.
Idk, I think I'd still rather a storm blow up 3 days from landfall if given the choice, but there are drawbacks either way.

Wisconsin is playing USF tonight. The lightning has it pushed back about an hour. The storm is pushing through.

The My Radar app. has this feature as well. I mentioned it earlier today. You can turn the wind map on with a globe style map. You can also show fronts.

Want to see the rate of change in pressure between passes.
And get a look at that eye temp from the vortex message.

951 mb with 13kt winds. Supports 950 or lower minimum pressure.
