We drove 2/3's the way across the country to visit the rocket center in Huntsville last year. One of the best we've been to.

Approaching $375K in a little over 24 hours. I wonder what has come in via their normal donation method?

I’ll pass on giving CNN any ad revenue personally, but that’s gotta help with donations.

It’ll be at $500k in like an hour or two at the current rate

They are just about at $620,000 of donations now. Probably need some bigger entities to keep the momentum going with some larger donations. Where you at Elon?

Boeing steps up with a $500,000 donation

Added to the GoFundMe, which is currently at $619,918, that's over $1.1 million.

I anticipate a Boeing competitor or two to match that donation and push this thing past 2 million.

Save Space Camp

Actually, I always wanted to go to Space Camp but never got to. If I had it would have been in the late 80's/early 90's at the height of the shuttle program, and would have been a shite load of fun, I'm sure.

Very cool on Boeing. Glad to see that not everyone is asking for a Gov. handout.

Space Camp was awesome when I went as a kid many, many years ago.

I've heard of adults going to? Does anybody here know of any adult programs at Space Camp?

There's an adult space camp. That's about the extent of my knowledge though lol.

The opening of the Smithsonian Air & Space extension at Dulles really hurt the Space & Rocket Center, there's a lot of items on display at Dulles that used to be in Huntsville. Made my sister and I sick when we walked into the Dulles extension and realized we recognized a lot of stuff from our childhood.

There's actually a family space camp, as well.

I'd be willing to bet that the majority of the display is on loan. Museums often do that to bolster another big museum when they open. Sometimes it is on permanent loan, and the loaning museum is given some form of compensation for the loans.
