Well in some of those countries you stay on the resort. So that would be like never leaving your hotel in Nola.

And I wouldn't Mexico.

More American tourists are killed in Mexico than every country combined.

I used to visit each year for a Saints game, but not anymore. I have no plans on returning to that shithole.

Stop/Frisk

Publicize Judges that are letting repeat offenders be repeat offenders

Curfew Laws for minors and enforce them

Limit vehicle traffic in the FQ - certain times for deliveries. Otherwise must be living or working there

Enforce existing laws. There are enough

Force the mayor and city council members to actually visit crime scenes often and not for publicity stunts. They need to see what’s going on outside of their protected circle.

3 strikes and you are out

Bring in the National Guard for the FQ and CBD. If you can’t hire police the do something.

No. But they would if the Cartels were coming on the grounds of the resorts and machine gunning tourists. Most people on here aren't old enough to remember the times that OP talked about in NOLA. Here's a fact. Crime was never "under control." The difference was that taxpayers and tourists weren't getting robbed and shot. shite was bad in the projects and the Hood but NO ONE fricked with the tourist areas. NOPD made it known that if you fricked around in the Quarter or targeted tourists your arse was getting beat. NOPD was a scary bunch back then, right or wrong, they ran things with an iron fist. If you looked at them sideways in the FQ they would knock you over the head and take you in an alley. But there wasn't real crime either. It just wasn't worth it to the thugs. But that time will never return with body cams and cell phone cameras.

But an administration that at least encouraged lawful vigorous enforcement would help. Regular shootings on Bourbon is hurting the city. They need to put a stop to it and that won't happen if officers think they will get fired or arrested every time they initiate an encounter.

The Bill Clinton’s of the world need to operate HAARP in such a way to control the weather like they did with Katrina.

If there’s enough evidence to warrant a 2nd degree murder conviction, go to trial. Stop the plea bargains for Man 1. Convict and let them rot away in prison for the rest of their lives.
