How would you solve the crime problem in New Orleans?

Eventually the tourist will quit coming if they feel unsafe because of the crime. If this is not fixed soon the city will be gone forever if its not already.

Have to do what Richard Pennington did back in the mid 90s. Put sub stations in the projects and hire more cops. NOLA is 500 cops short. Nothing will change until that number starts to shrink.

Elect city officials that won’t cater to the criminal element and allow police to be police again.

- Back and fund the police at least 5x more than they currently are with targeted enforcement in problem areas, National Guard Marital Law style
- Extreme punishments for crimes involving weapons, even for underage kids
- Severe punishments for parents for truancy in schools.
- Give all the homeless people $1,000 and a one way ticket to San Francisco or Portland. Put it in a bank account they can't access until they prove they are there and then give them $50 of the $1,000 per day so they have a chance to get "settled"
