I'm leaning with he's shady and needs connections. He trusts you. You trust him. He does you a favor, you do him a favor, etc etc...he'll let you know when he needs favors.

The most peculiar thing about this, no matter if it's mafia/divorce/butt seggs...what happens if you wreck the car or someone else steals it?

Very odd.

My guess is you're lying.

I don’t know if any of this is true but if it is…

You don’t make enough money to join a $50k club without just by being lazy have $50k in liquid cash in an account or two.

I’m not in that league at all but could write a $50k check in a day.

His other club probably kicking him because of shadiness that's catching up to him and he didn't know what to do with an asset bought with ill gotten gains. Sounds like some calls to members of the other club not just the club is in order. What's his name? Let the OT do the background check.

I'm my opinion he's testing him to see if he can trust him. Doesn't necessarily mean it's crime related stuff though.

any half decent club these days are $50k tbh and any half decent club has a year+ waiting list.

How obvious are you trying to make it that you have no fricking clue what you are talking about?

If he doesn’t have the $50k without selling his house, then he probably can’t afford it.

He is having you store his car (for free) in the new town and when he comes back he will just not join and get his car back.

Either that or he’s about to file bankruptcy and you have just hidden some of his assets for him.

No, but you gon get raped.

The cartel is after that dude and now you’re on their list. If I were you I take that Shelby and head to Tijuana and not look back.

ETA: P.S. stop reading Hardy Boys mystery novels and pretending that’s you in real life.

There is a definite pattern emerging in the answers to you. Pay heed, some of these guys' cornholes are probably still recovering from the "Hey you can keep my car as collateral" scam.

#1 you are a moron for allowing him to leave his car with you.

#2 you are dumb for driving it.

He just asked if someone would be willing to store the car while he works stuff out in Phoenix.

And you didn’t ask why he needed the car stored somewhere other than his home?

My advice is that you’re gonna be getting a summons to appear in court for something.
