How would you frame a large (40” x 60”) print?

Some folks made a El Capitan gigapixel image and are selling prints.
El Cap gigapixel project
In the link there’s another to purchase the print. In my confirmation email the contact said:
I was thinking little to no mat board, just gunmetal metal frame, mounted however it has to be.
What do I need to do? For my son, so durability is top priority. Detail is key as well.

...so about the print. Super IMportant: don't pull it out of the tube when you get it - call around now and make plans to take it immediately to a frame shop to get dry mounted or framed. This print is so big that if you pull it out it is very hard to roll it back up without creasing it.

Blow up a 40” x 60” print? Think I should go 10’ x 15’?

Yea, no doubt. I just don’t know what dry mounting means, and if I want that big of a piece of glass in my sons room. Bee cool to mount and laminate.

A non framed canvas print would be awesome, but does not appear to be an option....sorry

I imagine I’d put it in a 40x60 frame.

Frame it in a grey distressed wood DIY project.

I have to have it mounted. No way I’m doing that.

If I had a quarter for every time I have said that....

It's almost impossible to mount that at home without wrinkles or bubbles. Pay to have it done at Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

By getting a frame large enough to hold the print and putting the print in the frame...duh!

Print it on canvas then you do not need a frame and it can go directly on the wall.
