It seems almost every other day the OT is graced with a “speeding ticket in bum frick Egypt, how fricked am I?” There is quite the simple solution out there and fairly inexpensive compared to the cost of the ticket. HIRE AN ATTORNEY. Most Attorney’s charge around $150 to represent your traffic case and will do a much better job at getting it dismissed or downgraded than you will be. I’ve used an attorney for all 3 of my speeding tickets in life and currently have a squeaky driving record and my out of pocket costs were just attorney fees. YWFMS

Or, just spit balling here, drive the speed limit or use fricking waze and don't get a ticket

They don't go on your record until you pay them, throw away the ticket and get out of it for free.

I got stopped Saturday morning for doing 80 in a 55. My military ID "accidentally" fell out of my wallet as I reached for my DL. Got me a nice snappy "slow it down and have a nice day sir"

Who needs an attorney?

Nah, I’ll pay the $150 attorney fee to get to my house 5 minutes faster than what google maps says

I don’t consider paying $150 getting out of a ticket. Seems like it cost you $150

I’m a cop around BR and if you say that to me I’ll let you go. Promise.

Hope to meet you later today.

I've got a friend in our State Police, and he's told me "you'll never talk yourself out of a ticket if he's already decided, but you can sure talk yourself into one."

Meh, thats too much trouble.

I only have 1 ticket. I just paid it, it dropped off my insurance record in 3 years.

The most expensive traffic citation I've ever gotten was probably around $150. Probably less. I just paid it online. Much easier and quicker than your method.

I've found the best way to avoid tickets is to do the following (courtesy of my police officer friend):

1. Pull over to a safe area
2. Turn your car completely off
3. Keep your hands on the steering wheel until the officer is at your door.
4. Open window and then retrieve documents when requested by the officer.
5. Don't be a dick.

Following this method, I've been pulled over maybe 4 or 5 times in the past 10 years and have only gotten a ticket once.

But take into consideration the additional insurance rate hike due to getting a speeding ticket that will stay on your policy for 5 years, providing you get no more tickets.

It's a hell of a lot more than just $150, I guarantee.

The large majority of agencies just want the money and will take a check to dismiss the charge. Very few make it to people’s records

In every parish you can go to the DA's office anytime after receiving the ticket (actually, you have to wait about a week after getting the ticket so that it has time to make it to the DA's office) and pay a court cost fee which is usually in the $125 - $140 range. The ticket is pulled off of your file and does not go on your record. The catch is you can only do this once a year. If you get another ticket within 12 months of doing this then you need to take alternative measures to keep the second ticket off of your record but anyone can get a first time ticket removed from their record by simply going to the DA's office and paying the court cost.

You cannot possibly be suggesting that saying, “suck that Tiger dick” is not classy, right?
